El software Idea Puzzle es una herramienta de toma de decisiones que ayuda los doctorandos a mejorar la coherencia de una propuesta de investigación, artículo o tesis a la luz de la Filosofía de la Ciencia (Morais & Brailsford, 2022). Hasta hoy, ha ayudado a diseñar más de 8000 proyectos de investigación en todo el mundo.
El software Idea Puzzle plantea 21 cuestiones, ayuda a responderlas y permite la autoevaluación de cada respuesta en términos de progreso de la toma de decisiones. La función ayuda del software Idea Puzzle incluye instrucciones, consejos, definiciones, introducciones, bibliografía y ejemplos de diseños de investigación que ganaron el Premio Idea Puzzle. El resultado del software Idea Puzzle es un diseño de investigación con 21 respuestas, una puntuación total y un puzzle colorado de progreso que puede ser compartido en PDF o en Word.
